First Drawing Project

I thought it'd be neat to show you what I'm working on in my other studio class:

There's a full explanation of the symbolism involved in my other blog if you should so desire to read it.  This was really more about concept than technique...I wish I'd gone with one of my other ideas and spent a lot of time rendering details.  It does look like me, though, especially the hair.  The background was fun to do as well.  This kind of picture is what I'm all about...symbolism and narrative and whatnot.  It was quite a relief to get that out of my system.  Once I finally decided a composition and sketched it out the rest filled itself in pretty quickly.

In other notes, I'm REALLY struggling with the composition of my poster for Design...I can't seem to find one I'm satisfied with.  Meh, I guess I'll keep fiddling with it for a while longer.  I need to decide though so I can print and mount it.
